Returns

Returning a rug

Email hello@rugsfordays.com within 10 days of delivery. We send you a return authorization number and the warehouse address to ship to. Your refund is issued once the rug has been inspected.

Every return goes to the warehouse address on your return authorization. A rug sent to Rugs For Days cannot be processed and cannot be refunded.

1. Start within 10 days of delivery

Email us with your order number and the reason for the return. A rug that arrived damaged has a much shorter window, covered below.

2. Wait for your authorization number

We send you a return authorization number, the warehouse address, and the exact deductions that will be taken from your refund. Do not ship anything before you have that number. A rug that arrives without one cannot be identified and cannot be refunded.

3. Pack it and ship it

4. What a return costs

Restocking fee
25% of the item price, on every return that is not defective.
Repackaging fee
25% if the original packaging is missing or unusable. Keeping the packaging is the best way to avoid it.
Card processing
2.5%, deducted from the refund.
Return shipping
Yours, unless the rug is defective or arrived damaged, in which case we cover it.
Delivery charges
Original delivery charges are not refundable.

Your return authorization confirms the exact deductions before you ship anything.

5. Your refund

The rug is inspected when it arrives. Once it passes, we refund your original payment method less the deductions above. Allow up to 10 business days after inspection for it to reach your statement.

6. Rugs we cannot take back

7. Damaged on arrival

Inspect your order at delivery. If anything is damaged, note it on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves, then email hello@rugsfordays.com within 48 hours with your order number, photos of the damage, photos of the packaging and a description of the problem. We arrange the return at our cost and there is no restocking fee on a defective rug.

8. Warranties

Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and differ from rug to rug, running from one year to five years. A warranty claim is separate from a return and carries no restocking fee. Email us with your order number and we will confirm the terms that apply.

Getting the size right the first time

Size is the most common reason a rug goes back, and a 10 day window is short. The size calculator on the homepage takes your room measurements and gives you the size that fits, and every size we stock has its own page.
